We manage our laying flock so that we can offer delicious eggs year round.
In spring, summer, and fall, the hens are out on pasture and are moved every few days to new grass. This maximizes the diversity of their diet and provides the best quality eggs. The hens also help fertilize the pasture for our grass-fed lamb, goat, and pork.
In winter, the hens move inside our chicken barn where we can keep them warm through the long Vermont winters.
