Winding Brook Farm is comprised of 270 acres of hay fields, pasture, and forest set along the border of Strafford and Sharon Vermont. Perhaps the most iconic part of the farm is the “round barn” — a striking 10-sided structure built for dairy cows in the early 1900s.

We farm using sustainable practices to put critical nutrients back into our soils and pastures. This improves the quality and quantity of feed as well as helps sequester more carbon from the atmosphere. Our flock of sheep are intensively rotated across our hilly pastures, moving to fresh forage every two days. The chickens follow close behind to dig through the manure, eat bugs, working to improve the soil.

We strive to produce healthy and high quality products for our community while minimizing our impact on nature and the environment.
